My Favorite Recipe for Remixing

This is one of the first recipes I share with someone starting their meal planning journey. It is a fun, easy twist to add something different to your monotonous meals. You can make double or triple the meat and use it twice in one week or freeze some of the meat to use another time.

Cheeseburger Salad Plus

I love using the meat from this recipe as sloppy joes

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ cup chopped dill pickles I like to use extra for the top
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp yellow mustard
  • tomatos
  • lettuce
  • shredded cheese sliced for sandwiches
  • hamburger buns optional for salad

Special Sauce/dressing

  • 1 cup mayo
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp chopped dill pickles

Instructions

  • Cook ground beef. Remove from heat and add pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Mix sauce ingredients. Mix all dressing ingredients together. Serve meat mixture on lettuce with tomatoes and cheese, and extra pickles. Serve with sauce/dressing. If desired, slice hamburger buns into strips and toast in oven on cookie sheet until crispy.
Keyword Planned overs, Remix

In addition to using the meat in a salad or on rolls, I like to use it in quesadillas, nachos, on potatoes, etc. I have also used it to make a warm, cheesy dip.
